Justin was born and raised in Western Iowa and at a young age fell in love with pheasant hunting. Growing up on the farm provided opportunities to hunt every weekend. When his parents finally agreed to get him an 8 week old GSP at the age of 13, he never looked back. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Moving to St. Louis in his early 20's he met the love of his life, Michelle. Michelle grew up with dogs but lived in the suburbs. She quickly fell in love with upland hunting. Having hunted over many Vizslas in western Iowa they purchased their first Vizsla in 2006. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In 2011, Michelle found her niche with Koda, their second Vizsla, while competing on a National level in Dock Dogs and even earned themselves an invite to the Dock Dogs World Championship.  Talk about versatility!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

By 2011, most of the wild bird hunting opportunities had dried up in the midwest.  Justin and Michelle were introduced to Field Trials by Jarrett and Allison Bell. Thinking this was just a fake hunt, Justin was apprehensive. After their first trial with Sig at 6 months old they were hooked. They moved further to the country, bought horses, a living quarters trailer, more dogs, and the rest is history.

In Aug of 2019 we began construction on our new home at the Farm in Exira Iowa.
